WACO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor head women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey added another star to her recruiting class, putting her on pace to likely have the number one recruiting class in the country.

Queen Egbo, a 6-foot-3 post from Richmond who is ranked 15th in ESPN’s HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings and fourth overall in her position, verbally committed to the Baylor Lady Bears Tuesday night, making her announcement on social media.

“I’m truly excited to announce the school I’ll be calling my home for the next four years,” Egbo wrote.

“But first, I’d like to thank God for granting me with so many opportunities on and off the court. I’d also love to thank my AAU and high school coaches, Coach Chris and Coach Ellison, for helping develop into the athlete I am today. Without them I wouldn’t be here.

“Lastly, I want to thank all the colleges that’s spent time recruiting me and getting to know me as a person, ya’ll believed in me and I wish nothing but the best for your programs. Without further notice, I’d like to announce my commitment to Baylor University.”

Before Egbo’s commitment, Mulkey’s class was already in the mix for what could potentially be the top recruiting class in the nation.

The two time national championship winning coach already had oral commitments from four other players who were in ESPN’s top 100 rankings.

Acquira DeCosta is ranked No. 4 and is considered the top wing in the entire country.

No. 8 NaLyssa Smith, No. 18 Honesty Scott-Grayson and No. 28, Cailin Bickle have also said they’re headed to Waco.

National signing day is in November.
