Mulkey throws first pitch to son at Cardinals-RoughRiders game

FRISCO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor Lady Bears head women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey was able to share a baseball tradition with her son, Kramer Robertson, prior to the Springfield Cardinals' game with the Frisco RoughRiders Sunday afternoon.

Robertson, who batted leadoff Sunday for the St. Louis Cardinals' Double-A affiliate, caught the ceremonial first pitch from Mulkey, who signaled a strike call after firing a high and outside fastball to Robertson's glove side.

The two then shared a hug between the pitcher's mound and home plate just before the start of the Cardinals' 8-6 win over the RoughRiders in which Robertson had an RBI single in four at-bats, one walk and two runs scored.
