WACO, Texas The Texas Rangers began their preseason caravan with a pair of stops in Central Texas Thursday afternoon.
First, the Rangers held a caravan luncheon at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco. Three Rangers' relievers were on hand along with broadcaster Tom Grieve. Shawn Tolleson is a former Baylor player and returned as a newly signed member of the Rangers' bullpen. Chris Martin is a former MCC standout and is also a Rangers' reliever this year after signing in the off-season. Matt Bush is making the transition from reliever to starter this year potentially and came to town as part of the caravan for a second straight year.
After their stop at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame where the players signed autographs and talked to baseball fans, they repeated that at Jim Turner Chevrolet in McGregor.
The Rangers report to spring training in Arizona in a few weeks.
