San Saba falls in 2A state semifinals to New Deal

ABILENE, Texas San Saba's football season ended Friday night in the 2A semifinals with a 35-6 loss to New Deal.

New Deal scored two early touchdowns to build a 14-0 lead in the first quarter of the game. San Saba's only touchdown came after that, the Armadillos cut the lead to 14-6 and that's where it would stay through halftime.

The second half was dominated by New Deal. They scored 21 unanswered points to earn the 35-6 win and end San Saba's undefeated season one win shy of a trip to Arlington.
