BELTON, Texas The UMHB football team faces its biggest regular season test Saturday when Hardin-Simmons comes to Belton. It's a top ten showdown nationally and it's the game that almost always determines who wins the ASC Conference championship.
This year, both teams come into the game with 4-0 records and with offensive units that have scored a lot of points. They're also both ranked inside the top ten in the nation. UMHB is #2 nationally, the Cowboys are #7.
UMHB won a defensive battle last year in Abilene, but head coach Pete Fredenburg says he's not sure what to expect in this year's meeting.
