UMHB preparing for showdown of unbeaten teams

BELTON, Texas The UMHB football team plays another unbeaten, St. John's, in the national quarterfinal round of the playoffs on Saturday. The Johnnies bring a 12-0 record to Belton from Minnesota for their first ever meeting with the Cru this weekend.

It's a battle of two teams that have been very good this year. The Cru has spent the entire year at #2 in the national polls. St. John's has been up there too and currently sits at #3 in one poll and #5 in another.

Both programs have plenty of history as well, with St. John's having won national championships in the past, many before the UMHB program even existed.

Saturday's game for the Cru is one of the biggest tests they've faced all season. The Cru scored 75 points in a second round win over Berry and they feel like they have a chance to have another good offensive day against the Johnnies. The key may be doing the little things well, the things the Cru have been focusing on all season.

UMHB and St. John's battle at noon Saturday at Crusader Stadium.
