ROBINSON, Texas (KWTX) The Robinson Rockets will host the Whitney Wildcats in the week four Zimmerman Law Firm Marquee Matchup.
Robinson (3-0) has scored an average of 55 points per game this season, defeating Taylor, Gatesville and Troy in the first three weeks.
Math geeks would flip out if Robinson, which has scored 47, 55 and 63 points in separate games, was able to post 71 against Whitney, but the Wildcats' defense allowed just three points in their first two games before holding off Hillsboro 33-24 last week.
"We scored the last play of the game to beat them last year and they've got the whole team back," Robinson head coach Tommy Allison said. "It's going to be a challenge. They have a tremendous quarterback, two great running backs, a good wide receiver, great offensive and defensive linemen, so they've got some players. It should be a great environment Friday night."
"They've got a few weaknesses," junior quarterback Joseph McHenry said. "I hope we can capitalize on them but other than that, they're a pretty good football team."
One thing Robinson hasn't done well is limit turnovers. They've lost the ball 10 times in the first three weeks.
The Rockets defeated the Wildcats 28-27 last season.
