Valley Mills falls in 2A state baseball semifinals

ROUND ROCK, Texas The Valley Mills baseball team fell 5-0 to Linden-Kildare on Wednesday, ending their season one round short of playing for a state championship.

Valley Mills and Linden-Kildare played a pair of scoreless innings to start the game. But Valley Mills struggled defensively in the 3rd and Linden-Kildare took advantage. A Deuce Schuler rbi blooper put the first run on the board for the Tigers. The Tigers added one more later in the game and had a 2-0 lead going into the 7th.

In their final at-bat, the Tigers broke the game open. With the bases loaded Nid Kunze hit a deep fly ball that got away from the Valley Mills outfielder and 3 runs scored on the play to make it 5-0.

Valley Mills wouldn't score in their final at-bat, losing 5-0 to end their season.
