VALLEY MILLS, Texas The Valley Mills baseball team will play in the 2A state tournament this week after finally getting over the hump in the region tournament where they've fallen short in recent years.
The Eagles will be making their sixth appearance in the state's final four, but their first appearance in several years. It was not an easy road to Round Rock for Valley Mills. The Eagles have played some good teams and some long playoff series to earn their spot. Even coming from behind to win games and series along the way.
Now, the Eagles say their goal is to win it all. Chase Keeton says to win alongside his dad, head coach Shane Keeton, would extra special. He also says this team is a family and that's added to their success this season.
Valley Mills will face Linden-Kildare in the semifinals on Wednesday at 4pm. If they win they'll play for a state 2A championship on Thursday.
