ARLINGTON, Texas (KWTX) Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, who has held out from the team while attempting to sign a contract extension, arrived at DFW International Airport Tuesday.
When asked by a reporter if a deal is imminent, Elliot's agent gave Cowboys nation some optimism.
"Close, very close," said Rocky Arceneaux. "I think Zeke showed his commitment by coming back to Dallas. We didn't come here not to do a deal. I think he's committed. Both sides are."
According to Spotrac, Elliott signed a four-year contract worth just shy of $25 million after being drafted by the Cowboys in 2016.
The Cowboys begin the 2019 season this Sunday against the New York Giants.
