Injury-riddled Bears lose big in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas Nearly a month ago the Baylor Bears beat a then #8 ranked Texas Tech team in Waco. Back then the Bears were dealing with the loss of Tristan Clark. Saturday in Lubbock, the Bears were playing with just eight scholarship players as seniors King McClure and Makai Mason were out of action again.

The absence of the two leaders was felt as the Bears lost to the #15 Red Raiders 86-61. The Bears have now lost three out of five games in February and sit at 7-5 in the Big 12.

Baylor freshman Jared Butler finished the game with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Mario Kegler also added 15 points and 4 rebounds.

Baylor's next game will be Tuesday (2/19) against #23 Iowa State in Ames.
