KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Two people are in custody and another remains at large after a highway chase in Killeen that ended in a crash.

The pursuit started after a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to stop a stolen 2017 Nissan Rogue at around 5:35 p.m. Sunday on State Highway 195 near U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14, DPS Sgt. David Roberts said Monday.

The driver of the Nissan refused to stop, but a short time later the SUV crashed on Trimmier Road at Duvall Drive.

The driver and one of the passengers were arrested, but a second passenger ran and managed to escape.

“The two that were arrested are being detained at the Bell County Jail for investigative purposes until a review of the case by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office,” Roberts said.

No names were released Monday.
