BELTON, Texas (KWTX) Tutankhamun Holt, 36, of Harker Heights has been sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping a girl from her custodial father two years ago outside of a local theater.

Holt, who represented himself during his trial, was convicted on Oct. 11 of aggravated kidnapping.

Holt and Bobbi Battishia White, 38, were indicted on one count each of interference with child custody and Holt also was indicted for aggravated kidnapping in connection with the Nov. 12, 2016 abduction.

An affidavit for arrest warrant said the victim and his daughter were walking to their car after seeing a movie at the Cinemark Theater when a man and woman drove up.

The affidavit said a man got out of the car, punched the victim in the stomach and forced the child to get into the car.

When the victim got to his own car he found the tires slashed, the police report says.

The girl was found safe in Alabama a day later.

White remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $655,000 awaiting trial.
