GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) A little girl battling brain cancer who has captured the hearts of Central Texans, may have found her tenderhearted match in another local girl her same age hoping for a Christmas miracle.

In her letter to Santa Claus, Bailor Dahl, 5, of Gatesville, asks for several things this year like a "great" Christmas for her family and french fries for her little sister.

She also asked Santa to "make Layla's boo boo on her brain better."

Layla Evetts, 5, of Riesel and Joshua, was diagnosed with a terminal form of brain cancer called DIPG in February.

Enrolling in clinical trials, Layla has beaten the odds so far, outliving doctors' prognosis as the survival rate for this type of pediatric brain cancer is very low.

Dahl hopes Santa will grant her Christmas wish so Evetts can be cured.
