Amber Alert issued for missing Texas toddler canceled

HENDERSON, Texas (KWTX) An Amber Alert issued early Wednesday morning for a missing East Texas toddler was canceled after family members brought the 2-year-old girl to police station.

Ariel Smith was believed to be “in grave or immediate danger,” according to the alert, issued just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

She was last seen at 10:25 p.m. at her mother’s apartment in Henderson, the alert said.

Authorities thought she was with a man identified as her father, Lamarcus Smith, 41, but KLTV in Tyler reported that he was among the family members who delivered the girl to the Henderson Police
