Sheriff: Missing Central Texas runaway found

NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) A missing Navarro County teenager has been found safe.

Kyler McKeen, 15, was last seen the night of July 15, according to family members in Frost.

He attends Hubbard High School.

On July 17, family members reported him as a runaway to the Navarro County Sheriff's Office, officials said.

Sheriff Elmer Tanner said his department worked the case as a runaway.

Tanner said two of his deputies located the missing runaway in Mesquite Monday afternoon.

"Good job Lt. Andrews and Sgt. Bates on being diligent and locating this young man," said Tanner. "Glad you were able to get him back safe and unharmed."

No further details were available.

At the time, family said he could have been anywhere.

"He has completely disappeared, we have contacted his friends and no one can give us any information as to what happened," said family member Caleigh McDonald.

"He has just vanished."

The teen is 5-foot-11, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
