HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) Harker Heights police were looking for a suspect Tuesday after an early-morning attack that sent a man to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The assault was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Yuma Trail in Harker Heights.
“A male victim was able to provide limited information as to the identity of his attacker,” Harker Heights police spokesman Lt. Stephen Miller said in a press release Tuesday.
The unidentified victim was taken first to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights and then was flown to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, where he was in critical condition Tuesday, Miller said.
Officers obtained a warrant, searched the assault scene, and then obtained an arrest warrant charging aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators recovered a "cutting device and a bottle, which was broken on the victim," Miller said.
The suspect’s name was not released Tuesday.
