AXTELL, Texas (KWTX) An Axtell High School teacher remained on paid administrative leave Wednesday amid an investigation of allegations of inappropriate interactions with students.
"We take our students safety as our number one priority and will do all that's necessary to keep them safe." Superintendent J.R Proctor said.
In addition to the school district’s investigation, the McLennan County Sheriff's Office is also investigating, Proctor said.
The Axtell School Board will discuss the situation in executive session when it next meets.
The teacher, whose name has not been released, has been on leave since Friday.
The next board meeting will be Oct. 14.
