BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) Woodrow Wilson was president when Olen "Prez" Hamilton was born in Reisel.
On Thursday he celebrated his 100th birthday with friends and family at the Bellmead Civic Center.
Hamilton was drafted into the Army Air Corps in 1942 and was discharged three years later.
After the Army, he spent most of his life in the San Francisco area before returning to central Texas when he was in his 70's.
He got the nickname 'Prez' because he shares a last name with American founding father, Alexander Hamilton.
Alexander was a statesman, politician, legal scholar, military commander, and lawyer, but he was never President.
Prez says there's no secret to long life but as long as you can get up every day and say good morning, you're headed in the right direction.
