BELTON, Texas (KWTX) A collision center in Belton is giving away free school supplies to nearly 500 area students as the start of the new school year approaches

This is the third year E & E Collision Center has handed out backpacks, each year helping more families.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the owners invited families to select whatever they needed for the upcoming school year, providing everything from backpacks to pencils, glue sticks and notebooks.

The owners say they couldn't do the giveaway if it weren't for their loyal customers and the community members that contribute to the cause.

"It's just going to help the kids through the school year and stuff, I think it is good for our kids to be able to help out and give back to the community and that's really the only reason we do it." Collision Center owner, George Egbert said.
