All proceeds went to aid Jose Negrete, a fireman battling Lymphoma.

From special door prizes to even birds for the kids, the event was a huge hit.

Even the beer was a benefit. For every drink that the brewery sold, one dollar went towards the fundraiser.

In total, the fundraiser raised more than $3300.

Since Negrete's diagnosis over a month ago, a Gofundme page has also raised over $13,000 for chemo treatment.

"For the people that don't know, he's just an amazing human being," said fellow friend and fireman Carlos Marieuena.

"He's one of the most humble people you can come across."

Negrete's brother, Gabriel, says that while Jose is still going through chemo treatment, he's ready to get back to work and the support from Central Texas has been overwhelming.

"It's nice to see that when dealing with something that's such a negative thing, it's nice to have something positive," he said.
