SALADO, Texas (KWTX) An 18-wheeler crash Wednesday snarled traffic for hours as crews worked to re-open all lanes of Interstate 35 in Salado.
Officials at the scene said one big rig clipped another, causing it to roll over.
The crash was reported just after 11:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near Salado Plaza Drive intersection in Salado.
Salado firefighters at the scene said the rig that rolled was carrying avocados and that they were working to find tow trucks to haul off the 18-wheeler.
Traffic was diverted onto the access road.
Nearly three hours of after the crash, traffic was backed up all the way to the rest stop.
The lanes likely will be blocked until 4 p.m., the Texas Department of Transportation said.
