KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Bonds total $150,000 for a teenager who led a Killeen officer on a chase that ended when the stolen car he was driving struck another vehicle and then a utility pole.

Trevonne Beshae Harris, 19, remained in the Bell County Jail Friday, charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and evading arrest.

He’s also held on an unrelated warrant for a parole violation.

Harris was arrested Sunday after officers responded to a report that the odor of marijuana was coming from an orange Ford Mustang parked outside a local business.

Harris pulled out of the parking lot as the officer arrived, nearly striking the patrol unit, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

With the officer in pursuit, Harris reached speeds of 100 miles per hour, “weaving in and out of traffic,” before the 2016 Mustang struck another vehicle, left the roadway and struck a utility pole, the affidavit says.

Harris admitted that he had taken the vehicle, the affidavit said.
