James Mahoney, 37, and Christi Lynn Perry, 32, are both charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

They remained jailed Thursday night on $25,000 bonds.

McLennan County Sheriff's officials said Perry was Mahoney's passenger when he was pulled over just before 10 p.m. Wednesday near Bruceville-Eddy.

The 2000 Ford F-250 he was driving had an unreadable license plate that had expired in 2014, officials said, and consent was given to search the vehicle.

During the search, the deputy found more than 67 grams of methamphetamine inside a clear plastic baggie under a purse, officials said.
