Case of COVID-19 confirmed in smaller Central Texas county

CAMERON, Texas (KWTX) A case of the new coronavirus has been confirmed in Milam County, raising the total number of cases diagnosed in Central Texas to 16.

No details about the patient were immediately available.

Bell County officials announced a seventh case on Friday, and said it’s the first in the county involving community spread.

Thirteen cases have also been reported in McLennan County, one of which involves community spread.

One case was diagnosed in Bosque County, but the patient was not a resident of the county, officials said.
