TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A woman from Temple is taking on a big responsibility with great success.

She's a sailor serving at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, in charge of bombs and missiles.

That means she's responsible for managing, maintaining and loading bombs, missiles and ordnance gear.

Trevino is serves at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, sustaining weapons systems and using the latest technology to maintain vital aviation equipment.

And Trevino received a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding work.

Trevino graduated from Temple High School in 2012 and she credits her roots for her work ethic.

Trevino said, "It’s important to always give my best no matter what and put in maximum effort to get the job done. My favorite about serving at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest is knowing that even the smallest thing we do makes an impact on the entire Navy."
