KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A 90-year-old man was in stable condition Friday in a local hospital after a car struck him as he crossed a busy street late Thursday night in Killeen.

The man, whose name was not released, was walking south at around 11 p.m. Thursday on South W.S. Young Drive near the Killeen Mall.

He was struck by a southbound Buick Lacrosse as he crossed East Central Texas Expressway in a marked crosswalk.

The driver of the Buick, who was turning east on a solid green turn arrow at the intersection, told officers she didn’t see the man in the crosswalk.
