TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A man accused of using his cellphone to record surreptitious video in a restroom at the H-E-B store at 3002 South 31st St. in Temple was jailed Thursday in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Joshua Lewis Lamont, 22, of Temple, is charged with invasive visual recording.
Lamont was booked into the Bell County Jail just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The arrest stems from a report on Jan. 3 about “a person filming other people in the bathroom,” an arrest warrant affidavit says.
The officer who responded found Lewis in a stall in the store’s men’s room.
Lewis, the affidavit says, told the officer “he put his cellphone under the bathroom stall and recorded the stall next to him.”
One of the men who was recorded told the officer that he was in a stall in the store’s men’s room “when he saw a cellphone under the wall dividing his stall from the stall next to it,” the affidavit says.
Police reviewed the contents of Lewis’ cellphone and found one video recorded in the bathroom on Jan. 3 and three others of men recorded in the restroom on another day, the affidavit says.
