Central Texas student arrested over alleged threat on school bus

GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) A Gatesville High School student has been arrested, accused of making a threat on a school bus.

In a letter to parents and guardians, Gatesville High School principal Yancey Sanderson stated school district officials received a tip about the incident at around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The exact nature of the threat was not detailed in the letter.

But school district officials contacted Gatesville police who immediately arrested the student.

The letter stated disciplinary action will be taken.

Sanderson applauded the students who reported the incident, and reminded everyone the district takes all threats very seriously.
