Killeen: Teenager indicted in connection with deadly shooting

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Andre Lovell Stewart, 19, was named in an indictment charging murder Wednesday in connection with a shooting in early October in Killeen that left a Central Texas man dead.

Stewart was arrested on a murder warrant at around 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 1 with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on a warrant stemming from the Oct. 4 shooting death of Simeon Onesimus Shaw, 36.

He remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond.

Shaw died at a local hospital after officers who responded to the shooting found him just before 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the 1800 block of Mulford Street.

They performed CPR until paramedics arrived, police said.

Shaw was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he died about 35 minutes later.
