MOUND, Texas (KWTX) Crews were clearing debris Monday from a Coryell County farm-to-market road that was closed for most of last week because of flooding from persistent heavy rains.

FM 1829 in Mound was covered by water from the swollen Leon River, which spread beyond its banks to flood thousands of acres.

The road has been reopened and crews were using heavy machinery Monday to clear debris.
