Copperas Cove: Reward offered in series of suspicious fires

COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) A Crime Stopper’s reward is offered for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in connection with a series of suspicious fires in a Copperas Cove neighborhood.

Two of the fires broke out in the same vacant house that’s undergoing renovations in the 1100 block of Randa Street, one at around 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 9 and the second at around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 14.

On Feb. 21, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at around 10:30 p.m. at a home across the street from the vacant house.

That fire caused some damage to the house and started while the residents were at home.

“During two of these fires, residents stated that individuals were seen in the area prior to the fires occurring,” Cove fire officials said in a press release.

A reward of as much as $1,000 is offered for information.
