Copperas Cove: Two teens charged in vehicle break-ins

COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Two teenagers charged in connection with series of vehicle burglaries in Copperas Cove remained in the Coryell County Jail Tuesday.

Jimmy James Moreno, 17, and DeAngelo Trey Reynolds, 19, both of Belton, are each charged with 20 counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, burglary of a habitation and evading arrest, according to online jail records.

Moreno is also charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.

Reynolds is held in lieu of bonds totaling $165,000.

Moreno’s bonds total $170,000.

The two were arrested on Jan. 30 after a Copperas Cove officer responded just after 4 a.m. to a report of a vehicle break-in in the 1000 block of Tyler Drive.

Officers discovered several vehicles in the area had been burglarized and as they were canvassing the area they found two suspects, both of whom ran.

The two were arrested after a brief chase, police said.
