COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) Hundreds of runners and swimmers took part in the 20th annual 5K and polar bear plunge at Copperas Cove City Park on Saturday morning.
Participants ran three times around the park and then took a swim in the community pool.
Everyone was able to enjoy hot chocolate, games, a costume contest and grab a bite to eat at a few food trucks after the cool workout.
Temperatures were in the upper 40s at the time of the plunge.
The event also included a treading water contest and a belly flop contest.
