Crooks target local subdivision; More than a dozen vehicles burglarized

BELTON, Texas (KWTX) Crooks broke into more than a dozen vehicles in a Belton subdivision during an overnight spree and investigators are hoping homeowners’ security cameras caught them in the act.

The break-ins occurred from late Monday night into the early morning hours on Tuesday in the Three Creeks Subdivision, Bell County Assistant Deputy Chief Sheriff Major T.J. Cruz said Wednesday.

“We are asking the residents who reside in Three Creeks to review their camera systems for any suspicious persons or vehicles between the hours of midnight and 3:30 a.m.,” he said.

The main focus in on Abergavenny, Cicero Drive and Dauphin drives, he said.

Investigators are asking any residents with video to call the Bell County Sheriff’s Department at (254) 933-5435 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and to refer to “Three Creek Burglaries.”
