TEMPLE, TX (KWTX) A fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in a building at Wildflower Country Club at 5112 Station Rd. in Temple did about $200,000 in damage to the building and another $300,000 to the contents, fire officials said Wednesday evening.

The fire in a maintenance building was reported at around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The first unit arrived just before 5:13 a.m. and the fire was under control just before 5:49 a.m.

The fire was ruled accidental, but the cause is undetermined, although the fire appears to have originated in the area of the building’s electrical and HVAC system.

South Kegley Road was temporarily closed to traffic in the area because firefighters ran a line from a hydrant, which ultimately wasn’t needed.

Mowers and other grounds-keeping tools are stored in the building.
