Falls County: Suspect in robbery, burglary, home invasion arrested

FALLS COUNTY, Texas A suspect in a mini-crime spree that started last Friday afternoon in Falls County with an armed robbery in the Westphalia area and a home break-in during which a large gun safe was stolen and ended with a home invasion in neighboring Milam County, was in custody Tuesday.

Luis Alberto, 32, of Temple, was ordered held in the Milam County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $65,000 charged with aggravated robbery and burglary of a habitation in connection with the incidents in Falls County and in connection with the home invasion in Cameron.

Cameron police arrested Alberto after the home invasion.

A firearm and a locked gun safe were recovered along with the money that was stolen at gunpoint Friday afternoon from a Westphalia-area resident who reported that a man who stopped him on State Highway 320 had robbed him at gunpoint.
