TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Tammy Delynn, 55, who’s accused of setting fires in December in her boyfriend’s home in Temple, stealing his home security system, and installing spyware on his cellphone, was jailed Wednesday in lieu of $100,000.

Delynn was arrested Tuesday, according to online records.

She’s charged with arson with intent to damage habitat.

The charge stems from an investigation of fires on Dec. 1, 2018 in the 3000 block of East Adams Avenue in Temple.

Investigators determined that two fires inside the home were set intentionally; one in the bathroom that damaged a light socket and another in the attic that left a hole in the ceiling, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

“Considering the damage done to the rest of the house and the fact that the windows and back garage door were left open, the person who set these fires wanted to spread throughout the house with the assistance of ventilation,” the affidavit says.

Delynn admitted that she had placed spyware on her boyfriend’s cellphone, “explaining how she knew he was speaking with investigators,” the affidavit says.

She’s also suspected of stealing her boyfriend’s home security system.

On Oct. 10, 2018, about seven weeks before the fires were set, the home’s surveillance system was stolen, the affidavit says.

“The last person seen on the video was the suspect.”

The stolen security system was recovered on Dec. 7, 2018 during a search of Delynn’s apartment in Temple.

And that’s not all investigators found.

Temple police officers who assisted fire investigators in the search on Dec. 7 discovered a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine, an arrest affidavit says.

Police obtained a second warrant and recovered the meth and a suspected meth pipe, the affidavit says.

Delynn was arrested and during a search at the Bell County Jail a Baggie containing methamphetamine was recovered, the affidavit says.

She was free on bond at the time of her arrest on the arson charge on Tuesday.
