(KWTX) Fort Hood aviators saluted health care workers across Central Texas Friday with a multi-helicopter fly over whose route took them over 10 area hospitals.

“This aerial salute honors our tremendous healthcare providers for their brave and tireless dedication to the soldiers, families, and civilians of Fort Hood. These professionals enable our military mission and make Fort Hood, 'The Great Place,’” Maj. Gen. Scott L. Efflandt, III Corps deputy commanding general said in a statement.

The crews flew over Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care, the Olin Teague Veterans Medical Center, Temple Everest Rehabilitation Hospital, Temple Baylor Scott & White, McLane Children’s Hospital, Belton Cedar Crest Hospital, St. David’s Hospital in Georgetown, Round Rock Baylor Scott & White, Round Rock Ascension Seton, Round Rock St David’s, Cedar Park VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, Advent Health Lampasas, Copperas Cove Medical Home, Killeen Advent Health Hospital, Carl R. Darnall Medical Center, Harker Heights Seton Hospital, Harker Heights VA Killeen Vet Center and Coryell Memorial Hospital.
