TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) The Bell County Grand Jury indicted four Central Texas teenagers Wednesday in connection with a shooting outside the Temple Walmart store that left an 18-year-old dead.

Grand jurors handed up murder indictments against Chelsea Swint, 18, Rashari Brent, 18, and Veronica Desiree Martin, 17 in connection with the shooting death of Isaac Kohlhaas, 18, in December.

Jazlyn Miller, 17, was named in an indictment charging conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

Miller and Martin were both were 16 when they were arrested.

The two have been certified for trial as adults.

Swint, of Temple, remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bond.

Brent, of Killeen, is held in lieu of bonds totaling more than $1.2 million charged not only with murder, but also harassment of a public servant, criminal mischief.

She’s also named in two motions to revoke probation.

Martin and Miller, both of Temple, are held in lieu of $150,000 bonds.

One of the 16-year-old girls turned herself in just before 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 7.

The other was arrested an hour later at her home in the 1700 block of South 15th Street.

Swint and Brent were later arrested out of state.

Officers found Kohlhaas with a gunshot wound on Dec. 5, 2018.

A bag of marijuana was found underneath him, an affidavit says.

He was taken to Scott & White Medical Center, where he later died.

At the time, one of the then 16-year-old suspects told investigators that “Swint and Brent were discussing robbing a weed dealer and set someone up to be robbed,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Surveillance video showed the victim’s vehicle pulling into a parking spot at the Walmart and then a dark colored sedan that Swint was driving pulling in at an angle close to Kohlhaas’ car, the affidavit says.

The video shows two people identified in the affidavit as Brent and one of the then 16-year-old girls getting out of the dark-colored vehicle and into the victim’s car and then getting out and running back to the sedan as Kohlhaas got out of his vehicle and collapsed, the affidavit said.
