HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) Police have made an arrest after a man displayed a knife and threatened an employee as he stole a container of milk from a business in Harker Heights.

Ryan Michael Stevens, 22, of Harker Heights, was in the Bell County Jail Wednesday charged with terroristic threat, according to online records.

His bond was set at $5,000.

Officers responded at around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday to the business, which police did not identify, in the 500 block of West Veterans Memorial Boulevard in response to the theft.

Employees told officers a man wearing a red sweatshirt took the milk and escaped in a blue Kia Soul.

Officers spotted the vehicle headed east on Veterans Memorial and pulled it over as the driver turned onto Edwards Drive.

The stolen milk was recovered, and so was the knife.

The case was forwarded to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office for review.
