Temple: Police investigate stabbing, gunfire incidents in same neighborhood

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Police are investigating a stabbing and two incidents involving gunfire that damaged a car and struck a house in the same Temple neighborhood.

The stabbing was the most recent incident.

Officers responded at around 2:55 a.m. Wednesday to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple where the victim was being treated.

He told them he was on the porch of his home in the 2400 block of Paul Revere Drive when he heard an argument down the street and went to check on it, police said.

He said he found a man and a woman arguing and said when he approached, the man took a swing at him.

He told officers he felt a “sharp pain in his arm and retreated to his home,” police said.

At around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the 2300 block of Paul Revere Drive officers found a vehicle and a vehicle with a shattered rear window after responding to a report of shots fired.

Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, nearby in the 900 block of Betsy Ross Drive, officers who responded to a report of gunfire found damage to a home “that was consistent with gunshots,” police said in a press release Wednesday.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
