Harker Heights: Call leads to heavy police presence in neighborhood

HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) A report of someone in distress sparked a heavy police response Tuesday evening in a Harker Heights neighborhood.

Officers responded to the call at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Pontotoc Trace.

The Harker Heights Police Department’s mobile command vehicle was at the scene.

Officers said they were communicating with a person, but provided no further details.

Police cleared the scene shortly after midnight Wednesday morning and would only say they were checking on a resident in distress.
