KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A 17-year-old Gateway High School student accused of body-slamming a teacher who tried to separate him and another student with whom he was arguing was named in an indictment Wednesday charging assault on a public servant.

Sir Josiah Ezekiel Vaughn was arrested on Nov. 6 in connection with the incident on Oct. 22 that left teacher Erik Jones with head, thigh and back injuries.

Jones was attempting to break up an argument between Vaughn and another student when Vaughn, who’s 6-foot-5 and weighs 207 pounds, “picked Jones up and slammed him to the floor, causing him to land on his back,” an arrest warrant affidavit said.

A security camera recorded the incident, the affidavit said.

Vaughn was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond, but his name did not appear on the Bell County Jail’s online roster Wednesday.
