KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Killeen police were asking for the public’s help Friday in finding a driver after a hit-and-run that sent a woman to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officers found the woman lying in the roadway in the 400 block of West Rancier Avenue after responding to report of the accident at around 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

The woman, whose name was not released Friday, was walking south Across Rancier when westbound gray Saab struck her.

Then as she lay in the street, a second westbound vehicle, which witnesses said might have been a Kia, struck her a second time.

The driver of the Kia didn't stop after hitting the woman, police said.

The woman was taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple in critical condition.
