KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Killeen police Officer Sarah Hydorn, 36, who turned herself in to Bell County authorities last week, a day after she was named in a sealed indictment charging injury to a child, is accused of “grabbing, pulling, scratching and striking” a boy younger than 14 “on or about the head, face and body,” according to a copy of the indictment released Monday.
The alleged incident happened in February, the indictment says.
Hydorn was placed on leave without pay, police said in a press release last Thursday.
“This temporary leave is not intended to reflect an opinion on the merits of the case. It is in accordance with Civil Service Law,” police Chief Charles Kimble said.
“The department will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.”
Hydorn was released aftrer posting a $25,000 bond.
She’s a 6-year veteran of the Killeen Police Department.
