AUSTIN, Texas (KWTX) The reward for information leading to an arrest has been increased to $6,000 as authorities take another look at the 1994 death of a man who was gunned down on a walking trail in a Texas park.

Kelly Gaspard, 34, was found shot to death on July 9, 1994 on a walking trail at Arrowhead Park near Lake Lewisville.

The park is in a wooded rural area on the north side of the lake.

Others who were in the park at the time told investigators they heard gunshots and then saw two “suspicious white males leaving the area,” the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

Hickory Creek police and the Texas Rangers uncovered several leads, but the case remains unsolved.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tips must be made through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS.

Information may also be submitted through the Texas Ranger Cold Case website.
