As part of the weekly “Let’s Move Club,” the goal was to promote health and wellness.

“I just think it’s amazing that they have a lifelong love of wanting to be healthy,” said PE teacher Nicole Lynch.

The 65 students, their families, faculty, and eight soldiers from the 57thExpeditionary Signal Battalion, the schools Adopt a School unit—more than 115 people in all--joined for some quality fun outside.

Students also got to Hula Hoop with the soldiers.

Spc. George Calvillo said he was proud to run with the children and was happy to inspire them.

“I love volunteering for my daughter’s school,” he said, “I love getting involved and just showing the kids that we care. It kind of gives my back some time that the Army has taken away from other places.”
