KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A man arrested after a three-hour standoff in February at a home in the 4200 block of Corrine Drive in Killeen that started, police say, after he pointed a gun toward officers who responded to a domestic disturbance was named in a two-count indictment Wednesday.

David Paul Lawrence, 44, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.

His name did not appear on the Bell County Jail’s online roster Wednesday.

Officers were sent to the home at around 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 17.

After they entered the home a man who was armed pointed a gun at them.

The officers and three other residents were able to leave the home without incident, police said.

Lawrence walked out of the home and surrendered at around 2:45 a.m. the next day.

Some residents of nearby homes were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
