KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A Killeen woman was charged with assault on a public servant after an officer investigating a loud music complaint suffered minor injuries while making an arrest.

Jonique Tasha Crothers, 37, remained in the Bell County Jail Tuesday in lieu of $100,000 bond, according to online records.

She was arrested Friday after an officer felt “pain in his wrist and had several bleeding scratches” as he attempted to arrest Crothers, who refused to turn the music down and to identify herself, an arrest warrant affidavit says.

Crothers was “playing her music very loudly from a speaker on her second floor apartment balcony,” the affidavit says.
